The students have really shown a high interest in writing creatively. The first step in creating effective writers is proper spelling and sentence structure. To learn this we have been creating subject and predicate sentences. Students have watched some videos to create sentences including a subject (who or what the sentence is about) and predicate (what the subject is doing). Here are the videos and the sentences they came up with. The subject will be identified in red and the predicate will be identified in blue.
Title- FedEx Caveman Commercial
Sample Sentences
- The silly caveman kicks a small dinosaur.
- The big dinosaur steps on the caveman.
- The angry caveman gets fired by his boss.
Title- Bridgestone Screaming Animals Commercial
Sample Sentences
- The small bug makes a tiny scream.
- The squirrel screams at the car.
- The careful driver misses the scared squirrel.
Also be sure to check out
